U12 Funetics event again this week

We have decided to put on another U12 Funetics Multi Challenge for U10’s and U12’s again this week.
If any of our U12’s who normally come along to the later session want to take part they will need to be there for 5.45pm
We will probably run on until just pat 7pm

The second session athletes should come along as normal for a 7pm start
Any parental help with the competition would be greatly appreciated.

The SWAL took place last  Sunday 5th at Exeter and we had no EVH juniors taking part
This is a real disappointment when we had 33 athletes at training

Entries are still open for the next Devon Open in Tavistock this Sunday (12th July)
They close next Wednesday 8th at 12 noon.

Lets hope we can get at least some of you there.

Track, Trail and Fell race action

We had three of our athletes in the Haldon Forest Flyer on Saturday
The race is over almost 5 miles of forest tracks, paths and fire roads in Haldon Forest Park, near Exeter.

Results as follows

Dave Engledew              39.16
Alison Engledew            44.35 (1st FV60)
Carol Hansen                  55.14

The Pralls tackled the Cosdon Fell Race on Saturday afternoon.
It was pretty hot, but Chris did well  finishing 2nd and 1st V40. Becky was 9th female and 3rd FV40.
In the junior race, Esme was 2nd in her FU12 category

We didn’t have any runners in the Mag 7 held on Sunday which was part of the Armada Grand Prix

On the Sunday Ben Bristow was our only EVH member in the Armada team
Ben did the Shot,Javelin and the 1500m in 4.54.32

Training Update

The weather does seem to have got warm again but not to the levels of the recent heatwave
Tonight’s training session is the July Handicap plus other routes

Club Championships update fro June now added

Thursday’s junior training is as normal but we are running another Funetics event for U10 and U12.

The Devon Open is on at Tavistock this Sunday why not give the track a go.
