Seniors

Fab senior route taking you deep onto the moor, with a brisk start up Western Beacon then crossing open moor to loop down, around and up to Weatherdon, some quick track followed by a tussocky scramble to take you past Glasscombe Ball then fast down to the stream crossing at Scada Brook, (what goes down must come up) and a sharp rise up to Ugborough Beacon then a second stream crossing at Lud Brook, and across to Western Beacon for a very fast descent to the finish at the Rugby Club. There are clear tracks and trods in places but sound route finding will help with off-piste sections. It is a Fell Race so expect some steep hills and uneaven ground in places so suitable footwear should be worn. Please take particular care crossing the busy road on the final mile.

U20s race in senior race.

This year there will again be a cut-off at Scad Brook (approx. 3 miles) of 60 mins. If you fail to meet this time the marshals will transport you back to Race HQ. This is to prevent marshals remaining on the course into darkness.

Prizes for top 3 male & female plus U20, V40, V50, V60 & V70 categories. Also prizes for first club with 3 males and first club with 3 females.

Vets based on age on day of first Dartmoor Fell Series race (21st March 2026).

Male record: Sam Kelly – 00:42:58 – 2023

Female record: Jo Meek – 00:53:23 – 2022

Senior Race entry £9 (50p discount for Fell Running Association Members). On the day entry only if space allows for £10 cash.
