Ivybridge 3 tops – Dartmoor Fell series
Wednesday August 6 @ 5:45 PM – 8:00 PM

The Ivybridge 3 Tops Fell race took place on Wednesday 6th August and there was a total of 70 finishers who
mastered the tough course in cool but dry conditions.
Unfortunately we did have a casualty, as one female runner suffered a leg injury and had to be taken off the Moor
by Dartmoor Rescue. We are extremely grateful to them and the ambulance team who took her to hospital.
She is recovering well at home. We would also like to thank our marshals who stayed with her until help came.
Also her friend who sacrificed her race to stay with her. We all wish her a speedy recovery.
The race was won by Ben Perry of Exeter Harriers in 43.44 and Hannah Large of Westbury was the first female .

Seniors
Fab senior route with a brisk start up Western Beacon then crossing open moor to loop down, around and up to Weatherdon, some quick track followed by a tussocky scramble to take you past Glasscombe Ball then fast down to the stream crossing at Scada Brook, (what goes down must come up) and a sharp rise up to Ugborough Beacon then a second stream crossing at Lud Brook, and across to Western Beacon for a very fast descent to the finish at the Rugby Club. There are clear tracks and trods in places but sound route finding will help with off-piste sections. Juniors U17 race in senior race.
