A hot weekend for the Harriers

Our athletes were in action both on the track, road and even the sea this weekend. Andrew Reed ran in the Norwich Half Marathon in very hot conditions.
His time was 1.34.35 which is not too bad considering the conditions. Linda Bracher had a good result in the Dartmouth Supersprint Triathlon finishing 8th female and second in her age category. It included a sea swim at Blackpool sands which was ideal for the sunny weather
We had four junior athletes in the Devon County Championships at Exeter. The event also included the Devon Schools Championship.
Angus Harris was in good form winning the U15B Javelin with a pb of 38.80m and a third place in the Discus with a throw of 19.92m.

Bella May made her debut on the track at 3000m and produced an outstanding performance to win the gold medal. Her time of 11.13.32 was a new Club record.
She also ran the 200m heat straight after recording a time of 32.12.
Libby Kirby was in the same heat of the 200m as Bella just edging her out a new pb of 31.11. She also set a pb in 15.27s in the 100m and another pb in the 800m of 2.51.31.
