On behalf of the club and all the coaches we hope you are all keeping well and safe.
We are really missing seeing you all at training and of course we should have started the track and field season.
We know that nothing will happen regarding training and competition until at least the start of June and we hope that some return to normality can happen then. We will keep everyone informed.

We have been sent an email from Sportshall Athletics. They have come up with a Home Pentathlon which you can try.
If you click on the link http://www.sportshall.org/homepentathlon you can access the Youtube videos showing you how to set up the events in your home or garden including how to print out the vertical jump scoring chart. These have been narrated by Katherine Merry the well-known commentator and former athlete. You can do it as a family and get a score using the spreadsheet. We thought it would be good if everyone who does try it can send the scores to us so we can produce a virtual league table. If you cannot use the spreadsheet don’t worry just send us your scores and we can calculate everything. Please note the speed bounce is 20s for all.

There are numerous online workouts you can do to keep fit  but our own governing body England Athletics have produced a webpage https://www.englandathletics.org/about-us/athletics-at-home/

It contains a lot of useful resources including all the Athletics 365 information and videos which are extremely useful.

If anyone needs any advice or help please get in touch. Also keep an eye on the website for new information.
The recent monthly magazine The Harrier is now on there on the Harrier page.

It makes for an interesting read.

Hope we can meet up soon. In the meantime Keep Safe.

Keith
