Westward League Cross Country this Sunday

Details of the first Westward League Cross Country at Newnham Park are now available
The course map is here >>> and details of the venue are shown here >>>

it is a superb venue really close to home and is a great start to the new season.
The club covers the cost of these races for members so is free to take part in.
There are races for all age groups as shown.
We also need help with the event so if anyone could act as a marshal please contact Keith
Becky Lee will once again be our team manager.

 

 

XC Warm Up held at Filham

Ahead of the first Westward League Cross Country on Sunday 6th October in Newnham Park, Plympton  (see other post and XC page)
We put on a low key warm up race on Sunday (29th Sept) in Filham Park for our juniors.
It was over a 1700m lap around the park. Well done to all those who took part in dry breezy conditions.

We hope for a good turn out of juniors and seniors at Newnham Park on Sunday. Remember it is free to take part in.
Just turn up 30 mins before the race time. The U11 race is for any one under 11 on 31 August 2024 (min 8).
If any parents can help marshal could they let us know on Thursday
The Devon Sportshall League begins on Sunday 13th October in the Plymouth Life Centre

EVH runners set great times in Berlin

We had five runners in the high quality Berlin Marathon on Sunday, both Simon Fitze and Ali McEwing ran superbly with Ali setting a new age group club record.
Unfortunately Ali Thorn had to drop out at half way with an injury

Unfortunately the Torbay Half and 10K was cancelled due to the weather.
Dan and Phil Adderley travelled down to Marzaion for the 10K
Dan was 185th in 51.44 and Phil 269th in 56.56

We also had our junior cross country warm up in Filham.
