EVH athletes in a very wet Looe 10

We had a few athletes who went down to tackle the hilly Looe 10 miler on Sunday.
Conditions were very wet but our athletes performed well with three age category prizes won.

Peter Allen was 11th in 68.57, Dave Engledew was 67th in 80.21 (Ist V60), Sarah Markwick was 115th in 86.52 (1st FV40)
and Alison Engledew was 183rd in 95.03 (1st FV65)
We also had a Breakfast Run on the Hoe which hopefully went well.

Training tomorrow night is the Bittaford, Shute Lane, Ugborough, Shell wood (Head Torch Run) or Speedwork @ Gorse Way plus the usual Couch to 5K

Final Westward League fixture in Redruth

The final Cross Country of the season will be held at Redruth next Sunday 3rd March. Races times & course maps are on the cross country page and shown on the post. Let’s finish the season on a high looking forward to seeing a good turnout for the final race. There will be treats for everyone to enjoy at the presentation after the events. We will be supplying a free mini bus to this event pick up will be the leisure centre at 9:30 then Sainsbury Marsh mills @ 9:40 then onwards to Redruth. Juniors session normal times this week but again no sports hall.

We are back to normal training times this week but once again we cannot use the Sports Hall due to exams.
The first session will again be in the Peverall Hall and the older session outside on the track.
Can those who attend the second session please make sure they dress appropriately for a track session outside.

Well done to the few juniors who came along to the Westward Cross Country League in Central Park, Plymouth.

There is a free minibus going if you wish to book a place on it.
The Regional Sportshall is taking place in Torbay on 9th March. We have a number of our athletes who have been selected and it should be a good day.





100 Entries received already for the Ivybridge 10K on 11th May

We are pleased to announce that entries are now open for the 2024 Ivybridge 10K
We have reached 100 already so get you entry in.

The race will take place this year on Saturday May 11th. With a 6.30pm start
We are keeping the prices the same as 2023 and offering the fantastic race T-shirt made form Vegan friendly Recycled material but we also offer the donation option to a local environmental charity as we did last year
