Training returns this Thursday

We hope you all had a good Christmas and New Year break and we want to remind everyone that training resumes this Thursday in the Sports Hall at the usual times.

The annual club membership is due for 2025 and we ask everyone to complete a form for our records. The link to the form is here >>>

The membership fees are £10 for U11’s and £20 for all other juniors. In addition training fees for the term are due. These are £25 with a 50% reduction for a sibling.
All fees are payable to the Erme Valley Harriers account

Well done to Harriet, Luke and Matt who ran in the South West Cross Country last Saturday and also to Isabella Trowell who set two new club records in the Welsh Indoor Open at Cardiff

This coming Sunday is the next Westward League in Westward Ho!. The details are on the post on the website and also on the Cross Country page. Please note earlier race times.
We have a minibus going and if you would like a place on it then let me know.

The Sportshall season returns on Sunday 19th January and we hope we can get the usual fantastic turn out. We will be reminding you again at training.

 

 

 

Busy first weekend of 2025 for EVH athletes

The first weekend of 2025 proved to be a busy one for EVH athletes.
On Saturday we had three juniors competing for Devon in the SW Cross Country Championships and Inter Counties which
was held at RNAS Merryfield in Somerset. The weather was cold but stayed dry for the event.
The results were as follows

U13 Girls
34  Harriet Rogers   12.57    5th Devon

U17 men
16 Luke Hayes   19.56   5th Devon

U20 Men
7th Matt Gilvear    25.14   2nd Devon

On the Sunday we had a great turnout for the First Chance 10K. It stayed dry for the race but the wind did affect the times,
Well done to Ali McEwing who was 3rd female and also to Dave Engledew who broke the Vet 65 club record.
Also our female 55 team of Andrea, Helen and Kate were the first team home in that category

Isabella Trowell made the trip to Cardiff for the 2nd Welsh Indoor Open.
She broke two club records in her events. She ran 9.93 for the 60mH and jumped 5.02 in the Long Jump

Westward League Cross Country back next Sunday

The next Westward League is taking place next Sunday 12th January in Westward Ho !

There will be a free mini bus provided for anyone who is interested in a place on the minibus please let Becky or Tom know. Pick up will be 9.30 @ the minibus collection point in the car park opposite Ivybridge police station.
