The session on Tuesday is the run to the Ermington Mast.
Route shown here >>>
There will also be some some shorter runs.
We now have a QR code for our training venues so you can check in using the new NHS app.
We will still maintain a [pare register so don’t forget to check in.

Please remember the rules on social distancing at sessions before and after the runs. Please make sure you do not congregate in groups of more than 6 at any time and especially near the entrance to the Rugby Club car park. There is also a risk of an accident here with cars coming into the car park. Please ensure you follow the government guidelines on hygiene and of course the 2m rule still applies. If we all follow this then we can do our bit to stop the spread of the virus.

Results Update 19th September

The second Devon Open at Braunton took place in sunny conditions and there were a host of pb’s from our athletes. Bella May had a good run in the 1500m as did Libby Kirby and Isabella Trowell.  There were also a number of good results form the Evening Open held at Tavistock on Wednesday.
Nathan his own club record and set a new pb of 1.55.0 in the 800m. He had broken Chris Conaway’s record twice already this season having stood since 1997.
Jamie Frost also had an excellent pb of 2.10.0 taking 25 secs off his previous best.
Sammy Miller also set two new pb’s in the 100m and 300m.
Congratulations to Libby Kirby and Sam Trigg-Petrovic who are the athletes of the month for August.

The current situation with EVH junior training is as follows. At this moment in time we still do not have the use of the facilities at Ivybridge Community College although the guidelines of England Athletics have changed to allow 12 athletes with a coach the venues we are using make this difficult
We are continuing to use Victoria Park on a Thursday evening from 6 -7.
We have only 5 coaches regularly available, so our maximum number of athletes will remain at 25. We do therefore have a few spaces for athletes who are year 5 if they would like to join in

If anyone would like to come along then they need to email me. You would also need to complete a permission slip and remain at the venue during the session.
We are also beginning some track and field training at Tavistock on Saturday afternoons (4 – 6) . This will be limited to 15. Athletes must be in the Year 5 and upwards category and book with me before the session. You cannot, I am afraid, just turn up. There will be no session on July 25th however.
I am really sorry we cannot put on sessions for the younger athletes at the moment. As you can imagine it is impossible under the current guidelines. We hope we can return to normal in September at the latest

Remember you can still access the training information that England Athletics have produced on

It contains a lot of useful resources including all the Athletics 365 information and videos which are extremely useful.
In addition there is the Devon Virtual School games challenges going on at the moment. Click here for more details

If anyone needs any advice or help please get in touch. Also keep an eye on the website for new information.
The recent monthly magazine The Harrier is now on there on the Harrier page.

It makes for an interesting read.

Hope we can all meet up very soon. In the meantime Keep Safe.
